New research report: Problematic alcohol use among women involved in prostitution

A new study funded by an Alcohol Research UK Small Grant gives important insights into the problematic use of alcohol among women involved in prostitution.  The research, carried out by Eaves, suggests alcohol is widely used among sex workers, often as self-medication to deal with anxiety and stress. It contains a number of recommendations for service providers working in this difficult field as well as identifying wider policy implications.
